Common issues and how to fix them
Code never arrives
Two causes, and they need different fixes. If Telegram tells you "code sent" but the code doesn't show up on our side within a minute, the number is momentarily unreachable — cancel the order (full refund) and try a different country. If Telegram says "call in 2 minutes", you asked for a voice call instead of SMS — click the "resend as SMS" option in the Telegram app; virtual numbers can't receive voice calls.
Number rejected by Telegram ("This number is banned")
Some numbers in our pool have been used with Telegram before, which occasionally trips the "already registered / banned" check. You get an automatic refund. Retry with a different country — 2-3 attempts almost always land a fresh one. If you plan to buy 10+ Telegram numbers, use wallet mode and lean on UK/NL/LT stock, which we cycle most aggressively.

Alternatives we're honest about
If you only need one Telegram number, ever, forever, buying a physical SIM in a phone-friendly shop is probably cheaper (€5-10 one-time) — but you have to physically go get it. Google Voice numbers are free but Telegram frequently rejects them as VoIP. TextNow / free tempsms sites work sometimes but the SMS is often shared or delayed by hours. FAQ
Is buying a virtual number for Telegram legal?
Yes, in every country we operate in. Telegram's Terms of Service require accurate account info but do not prohibit third-party phone numbers. You're paying for a real number that's briefly assigned to you to receive one SMS. What you do with the resulting Telegram account is your responsibility.
Will Telegram ban my account if I use a virtual number?
Not because of the number itself. Telegram bans accounts that violate their content policy (spam, harassment, illegal content). Legitimate accounts with virtual numbers have the same standing as accounts with SIM numbers. The one edge case: mass-created spam accounts do get banned, sometimes retroactively — so if you're buying 50 numbers to spam channels, you should expect it to end badly.
Can I keep the same number for future logins?
No. Our numbers are single-SMS by design. Once your code arrives, the number is returned to the pool. Enable Telegram's Cloud Password (2FA) immediately after signup — that lets you re-log-in without needing SMS again. If you skip 2FA and later log out, you may not be able to log back in.
